Picking A Group Conversation Forum

We are looking for your input on a better was for members to hold group conversations. We currently use Yahoo Groups. In the past year activity has dwindled to almost nothing. Keeping a conversion going in a group like Volusia ARES is important. It helps new operators interested in learning and keep ideas flowing.

The choices are.

  1. Yahoo Groups
We are currently using Yahoo as a way to have conversations with all volunteers. After you register a Yahoo account you can post topics and reply to topics. You don’t need to go to the Yahoo web page to do ether. After you register you can simply use your email account.

  2. Facebook
We have a Facebook page and a Facebook group. The page is more toward discussing the topic posted on the page. The group is like Yahoo Groups but in Facebook

  3. Google Groups
Google Groups is like Yahoo as well but more simplified.

4. Bulletin Board
A Bulletin Board is somewhere in-between posting on a site and receiving posts via email. There are categories you post a topic under. You would need to check the board but after you find a topic you can have it email you when someone has posted more information or a reply.

You can select as many choices you would like.
