2018 Coke Zero Sugar 400

Tonight is the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at the Daytona Beach International Speedway. The Volusia county EOC will be in a monitoring mode. We will start an open net between 7pm – 7:30pm.

What is an open net?

Open nets are informal nets, The frequency is still open for use by any amateur radio operator. We ask that you keep your transmission under 30 seconds and with a 3 to 4 second delay between transmission.

After everyone has checked in we will switch to the VARES simplex frequency 145.555 to run a simplex net to check the EOC equipment and survey simplex communications. We will ask for relay stations, If you would like to help net control then give NCS your call sign when asked. After the end of the simplex net we will switch back to the 147.240 T123 to continue the ARES net as an open net.
